Description:

Public Comment Now Open

The American College of Radiology (ACR) would like to extend an invitation to ACP members to provide feedback during the public comment period for the Closing the Results Follow-up Loop Quality Measure Set. This quality measure development project focuses on the follow-up of treatable incidental finding and includes use-case measures for pulmonary nodule and abdominal aortic aneurysm incidental findings. Also contained within the set are measures on communication among radiologists, ordering clinicians, and patients. The project is supported by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Diagnostic Excellence Initiative.

Comments are welcome from individual members, and those in their personal and professional network (e.g., patients, radiological practices they work with, referring clinicians and other healthcare professionals). ACR is specifically interested in receiving input on the measures’ feasibility in practice, data capture, and ability to measure the intended actions, among other measure-specific questions. Comments should include specific details on the quality measures to inform the Closing the Results Follow-Up Loop on Incidental Findings technical expert panel (TEP) on ways to ensure the measures are actionable and useable in practice. ACR will accept comments through January 7, 2021.

Please visit the comment period portal on the project’s webpage at acr.org and feel free to contact ACR at measure.development@acr.org with any questions you have about this project.
